Every water treatment plant's final barrier against Giardia, viruses and other pathogens is a serpentine chlorine contact tank, and how well it works comes down to two numbers regulators actually check: the CT value (chlorine concentration × contact time) and the baffling factor that converts a tank's theoretical detention time into the shorter, real T₁₀ that 10% of the flow can short-circuit through. This simulator renders a real over-and-under serpentine tank in 3D, streams particles along the baffled flow path with a short-circuiting fraction driven by the chosen baffling condition, and applies genuine Chick–Watson disinfection kinetics live — adjust chlorine dose, plant flow rate, baffle quality and target pathogen and watch the CT value, T₁₀, log-inactivation and regulatory pass/fail update in real time.
