A wind turbine's rotor is only efficient across a narrow band of speeds relative to the wind — this simulator makes that relationship tangible. Adjust wind speed and blade pitch, then either drive rotor speed by hand or hand control to a maximum-power-point-tracking (MPPT) controller, and watch the operating point slide along a live-plotted Cp(λ,β) curve against the Betz limit while a real 3D rotor spins at the resulting tip-speed ratio and the delivered power updates in real time.
