This simulator models the energy chain inside a real mass-burn municipal solid waste incinerator: waste burns on a moving grate, releases heat that raises steam in a boiler, and a steam turbine converts that heat into electricity. Four levers you would find on an actual plant — waste moisture content, excess-air ratio, throughput and turbine cycle efficiency — drive a grounded thermodynamic model (calorific-value moisture penalty, flue-gas and incomplete-combustion boiler losses, Rankine-cycle turbine conversion, flue-gas-treatment parasitic load) while the 3D scene shows waste chunks combusting along the grate, flue gas rising through the stack, and the turbine spinning at a rate proportional to the net electrical output the plant is actually producing.
