🧪 Energy Technology Nuclear Fusion Simulation
Interactive fusion-technology simulator: tune plasma temperature, density, confinement time and fuel mix (D-T, D-D, D-He3), watch ions collide in a tokamak-style torus, and see the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution and quantum-tunneling Gamow peak that set the real reaction rate, alongside a live Lawson-criterion ignition readout.
This simulation shows the real physics that decides whether a fusion reactor works: not raw temperature alone, but the overlap between the Maxwell–Boltzmann energy spread of a hot plasma and the steep quantum-tunneling probability through the Coulomb barrier. A tokamak-style torus renders deuterium and tritium (or D-D / D-He3) ions swirling and occasionally fusing in bright flashes, while the side panel numerically integrates the reactivity ⟨σv⟩, the resulting fusion power density, the most-probable "Gamow peak" reaction energy, and a live Lawson-criterion triple-product readout — the actual energy-technology metric that separates a lab curiosity from a net-energy fusion power plant.
This simulation illustrates the complex physics of nuclear fusion. Users can observe the conditions required to initiate and sustain a fusion reaction, showcasing the potential for future energy generation.
