💡 Feynman Diagrams — QED Vertex Builder (2D)
Build and animate Feynman diagrams in 2D: draggable electron, positron and photon lines meeting at QED vertices. Six process presets (Moller scattering, Bhabha scattering, Compton scattering, pair production, annihilation, self-energy) plus a free construction mode with live vertex-conservation checking.
What This Simulation Shows
Feynman diagrams are 2D spacetime diagrams: one axis is time, the other is space. Straight arrowed lines are fermions (electrons/positrons), wavy lines are photons, and dots are vertices where a coupling-constant factor α ≈ 1/137 enters the amplitude. This page has two modes: Presets animates six real QED processes from initial state to final state, and Build lets you construct your own diagram from scratch — drag lines into place and the panel checks whether each meeting point is a valid QED vertex (two fermion ends + one photon end, conserving charge).
Build and animate Feynman diagrams in 2D: drag electron, positron and photon lines into place and watch them meet at QED vertices. Six real process presets — Moller scattering, Bhabha scattering, Compton scattering, pair production, annihilation and the self-energy loop — animate as spacetime diagrams, or switch to free-build mode where a live checker confirms each vertex conserves charge.
