💡 Feynman Diagrams (2D)
QED spacetime diagrams — animated process presets, plus a free-build mode with live vertex-conservation checking

Two electrons exchange a virtual photon (wavy line). Neither electron is identified after the interaction — they are identical particles. This is a t-channel process at leading order in QED.

What This Simulation Shows
Feynman diagrams are 2D spacetime diagrams: one axis is time, the other is space. Straight arrowed lines are fermions (electrons/positrons), wavy lines are photons, and dots are vertices where a coupling-constant factor α ≈ 1/137 enters the amplitude. This page has two modes: Presets animates six real QED processes from initial state to final state, and Build lets you construct your own diagram from scratch — drag lines into place and the panel checks whether each meeting point is a valid QED vertex (two fermion ends + one photon end, conserving charge).
