This simulation demonstrates how sustainability considerations can be integrated into supply chain operations. Four real levers — carrier choice per shipment, recycled-material sourcing, lean packaging, and safety-stock buffer — drive a live 3D flow of shipments from supplier to factory to warehouse to retail, while four readouts track the resulting CO2 emissions, physical waste, landed cost and resilience score. It illustrates the reduction of environmental impact through strategies like minimizing waste, optimizing transportation, and sourcing sustainable materials, so the trade-off between a leaner, greener chain and a faster or cheaper one is visible batch by batch, not just in a spreadsheet.
