The Morris Worm of 1988 was the internet's first large-scale demonstration that a small self-replicating program could outrun any human's ability to contain it by hand — and it accidentally founded modern incident response along the way. This simulator models the same core mechanic on a 3D host-and-link graph: a discrete-time epidemic process where an infection probability per network edge, a patch rate representing administrators fixing the exploited services, and — most historically specific — a reinfection bug rate reproduce the actual flaw that made the real worm so destructive: it kept re-copying itself onto machines it had already infected, exhausting their CPU and process tables. Tune all three rates live and watch how a single susceptible host becomes a red-lit, rapidly spreading outbreak, then gets pushed back to green as patching catches up.
