Red Team vs Blue Team: Intrusion Race Timeline

Interactive 2D swimlane-timeline simulator: watch an attacker's lateral-movement Poisson process race a defender's detection Poisson process, host by host, on a real-time event timeline plus a cumulative counting-process race chart.

This simulator runs the exact same lateral-movement-vs-detection race as the 3D network graph, but renders it as a 2D swimlane timeline: each of the 15 hosts on the segmented network gets its own row, ordered by hop-distance from the attacker's entry point, and its bar changes color the instant it is compromised, detected and contained. A companion strip above the lanes plots the two competing counting processes — cumulative compromised hosts vs. cumulative contained hosts — directly against each other over time, making the exponential race between attacker tempo and defender detection legible as two curves rather than a moving graph. Tune both sides' parameters and watch whether the crown-jewel lane turns red before the blue-team curve catches up.

⚙ Under the hood

Watch the same attacker-vs-defender exponential race unfold as a real-time swimlane timeline and cumulative event-count chart: each of 15 hosts gets its own row showing exactly when it was compromised, detected and contained, while a race chart plots the competing Poisson counting processes for compromise vs containment head to head.
