AR/VR Sensor Privacy & Gaze-Biometric Exposure Lab (2D)

Interactive 2D floor-plan model of AR/VR headset sensor permissions: toggle spatial-mapping and eye-tracking APIs, dial third-party app trust and on-device privacy mitigations, drag/zoom a top-down scanned-room point cloud, and watch room-layout leakage and gaze-biometric identifiability rise or fall live — the same exposure model as the 3D lab, laid out flat.

This 2D companion to the 3D AR/VR sensor-privacy lab drives the exact same exposure model: which sensor APIs an app is granted, how much you trust that app, and what on-device mitigations sit between raw sensors and the app. Toggle the spatial-mapping and eye-tracking APIs, drag the third-party trust and privacy-mitigation sliders, and flip on the compositor boundary to see, live, how much of the scanned room leaks to the app — drawn here as a flat, pannable and zoomable floor plan instead of a rotating 3D scene — and how identifiable your gaze pattern becomes, drawn as a live scanpath in the gaze-plane inset. Same biometric channel researchers have used to re-identify VR users from under a minute of eye movement.
