A just transition retires coal capacity, builds out renewable generation, and retrains displaced workers all at once — and the pacing between those three tracks determines whether a coal region's employment recovers quickly or collapses mid-transition. This simulator runs a real coupled system-dynamics model — exponential capacity retirement, logistic renewable build-out, and a retraining flow bounded by how many workers have actually been displaced so far — and renders the region in 3D: a field of coal stacks sinking and losing their smoke plume as capacity retires, next to a field of wind turbines rising and spinning up as renewables are built. Three policy sliders (retirement rate, build-out rate, retraining investment) plus a time-speed control let you find schedules where net regional employment and cumulative CO₂ avoided both move in the right direction together, or discover how easily an underfunded retraining budget opens a real employment gap even while total capacity stays flat.
