Climate risk to agriculture rarely shows up as a single catastrophic event — it accumulates, day by day, as temperatures during a heatwave push past a crop's physiological tolerance during its most sensitive growth stage. This simulator renders a 3D wheat field over a 90-day growing season and drives it with a stress-degree-day model: a raised-cosine heatwave pulse, centred on flowering, is added to a seasonal temperature curve, and every day the field accumulates degree-days above the crop's own heat threshold. Individual plants carry a small random tolerance offset, so the canopy wilts and browns unevenly exactly like a real heat-stressed field, while live readouts track today's temperature, cumulative stress degree-days and the resulting projected yield loss.
