TCFD Climate Financial Risk Stress Test

The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework asks investors and companies to quantify two distinct climate risk channels — physical risk from a warming climate and transition risk from decarbonisation policy — and stress-test a portfolio against scenarios that blend them differently. This simulator models a ten-sector portfolio as a field of 3D towers: each tower's height is the sector's stressed value, and two coloured base rings show how much of its loss comes from physical hazards versus transition shocks.
