🧪 Climate Risk Scenario Forge — 3D

A genuine WebGL/Three.js companion to the 2D Climate Risk Scenario Forge: a 56-asset portfolio — ports, energy grid, warehouses, factories and residential sites — rendered as a real orbitable risk-pillar landscape, driven by live heat, flood, storm and transition risk math across warming, sea-level, storm and carbon-price scenarios.

Why render climate risk scenarios in 3D

The 2D "Climate Risk Scenario Forge" original is a scenario-planning brochure describing physical risk (heat, flood, storm), transition risk and ESG reporting modules without any live simulation behind them. This companion builds the real quantitative mechanic the title implies: a portfolio of 56 assets — ports, energy grid nodes, warehouses, factories and residential sites — scattered across a genuine 3D terrain that rises from a low coastline to an inland plateau, each asset rendered as an orbitable risk pillar whose height and color respond live to the scenario.

Every asset's combined risk score is computed from the same four risk channels the original names in its "Programs & tracks" section: heat risk against each asset type's heat threshold, flood risk from its elevation against the current sea level, storm risk from storm intensity against its vulnerability, and transition risk from the carbon price against its emissions intensity — combined as a weighted 30/30/25/15 blend. A risk-lens selector re-colors every pillar by a single channel to isolate which driver dominates a scenario, and three one-click SSP-style presets (SSP1-1.9, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5) sweep warming, sea level, storm intensity and carbon price together. The readout panel reports portfolio-wide Loss at Risk, average risk score, share of assets at severe risk and total portfolio value in real time.
