Climate Forecast Ensemble Simulator

Interactive climate forecasting simulator: an energy-balance model with real radiative-forcing physics runs an ensemble of noisy climate trajectories under SSP-style emission scenarios, showing how scenario choice and climate sensitivity widen forecast uncertainty decades out.

Climate forecasting is not one prediction — it is a family of runs whose spread tells you how confident to be. This simulator drives a real one-box energy-balance model (radiative forcing from CO₂, an ocean heat-capacity lag, and a feedback strength set by climate sensitivity) with an 18-member ensemble of red-noise-perturbed runs, so you can watch the forecast fan out decade by decade. Switch between SSP-style emission scenarios to see structural/scenario uncertainty pull the dim reference curves apart, or push climate sensitivity and internal variability to see how model physics and natural noise each widen the band around the active forecast.
