Permeable Pavement Hyetograph & Reservoir Lab (2D)

2D hydrology dashboard: a live hyetograph and hydrograph chart plus a schematic cross-section compare asphalt runoff against a permeable-pavement base-course reservoir that fills and drains during a storm.

This 2D companion trades the 3D road scene for the diagrams a stormwater engineer actually reads: a scrolling hyetograph of rainfall intensity, a hydrograph comparing asphalt and permeable-pavement runoff, and a schematic side-on cross-section of both pavement structures with a reservoir that visibly fills and drains through the aggregate base course. The underlying storage mass-balance — rainfall intensity, infiltration capacity, sediment clogging, and a fixed subgrade exfiltration rate — is identical to the 3D lab; only the visualization changes, from a rendered road to the layered chart-plus-cross-section view real drainage designers use. Drag across the chart to scrub back through recorded history and inspect any past moment of the storm.
