3D refinery cracking-unit model: heavy C16H34 alkane chains enter a reactor tube, undergo homolytic C-C bond scission into shorter alkane and alkene fragments, then rise through a fractionating column that sorts them into gas, gasoline, kerosene, diesel and residue by simulated boiling range. Toggle thermal (450-750C, non-catalytic, random scission) vs catalytic FCC (zeolite catalyst, lower temperature, gasoline-selective) cracking and watch live fraction-yield bars update.
