Every reaction either releases heat into its surroundings or pulls heat out of them, and a calorimeter is simply a well-insulated container built to measure exactly how much. This simulation models a coffee-cup style calorimeter: pick a real reaction with a known molar enthalpy — acid-base neutralization, a dissolving salt, or a small-scale combustion — set how many moles react, how much water surrounds the reaction vessel, and the calorimeter's own heat capacity, then start the reaction and watch the water bath's temperature climb or fall in real time while q and the measured ΔH are computed live from the same numbers a chemist would read off a real thermometer.
