This simulation drops you into the reaction volume itself: luminol and hydrogen-peroxide molecules drift through a 3D reaction chamber in Brownian-like motion alongside scattered iron-catalyst sites, and every time a luminol/peroxide pair happens to encounter a catalyst, a real chemiluminescent flash fires — the excited-state 3-aminophthalate molecule relaxing by emitting a blue photon, exactly as it does in the classic forensic luminol test for trace bloodstains. Adjust luminol concentration, oxidizer concentration, the number of catalytic iron sites, and the glow's decay time to watch the flash rate and spatial pattern of the reaction change in real time, and orbit the camera freely to see the reaction happening in true 3D depth rather than as a flat overhead spray.
