This simulation renders a real three-dimensional gravestone — a carved slab with a raised inscription cut into its front face, standing in a small cemetery scene — and lets you watch its full surface weather under simulated acid rain as you orbit freely around it. Every vertex of the stone tracks its own accumulated chemical erosion, so the carved letters visibly shallow and blur while the slab's edges and corners round off first, exactly matching how real acid rain preferentially attacks the highest-surface-area features of a carbonate stone. Adjust the rain's acidity (pH) and the simulated weathering speed, switch between limestone and marble to see how each material's erosion rate differs, and reset for a fresh, fully legible stone at any time.
