🧪 Building Collapse Simulator (2D)

2D progressive-collapse lab: a lattice of load-bearing columns and beams with real gravity load, material failure thresholds, and load redistribution — knock out a support and watch the cascading structural failure propagate.

This 2D companion trades the 3D version's rendered scene for a readable structural diagram: a lattice of column and beam nodes, each carrying a real gravity load (mass × g) against its own material failure threshold, redistributing load sideways through beams when a support is lost — the same alternate-load-path logic used in real progressive-collapse analysis. Pick a ground support, knock it out, and watch whether the structure arrests the damage within a floor or two, or whether it cascades into a full progressive collapse, coloured live by each member's load ratio and rendered with falling debris for every node that loses its path back to the ground.
