Human core body temperature is held near 37 °C by a hypothalamic negative-feedback loop: a rise above setpoint triggers sweating and vasodilation to shed heat, while a drop below setpoint triggers shivering and vasoconstriction to conserve and produce it. This simulator runs that control loop live — a schematic body reddens or blues with skin blood flow, sweat droplets fall when you overheat, and the figure visibly shivers in the cold — alongside a real-time strip chart of core temperature versus its 37 °C setpoint. Adjust ambient temperature, exercise heat load, clothing insulation and effector sensitivity to see how each reshapes the balance point and how a fever offset forces the same loop to defend a different target.
