🐝 The Five Languages of a Honeybee Colony (2D)

This 2D companion drives the same five signal models as the 3D hive — pheromones, the waggle dance, the tremble dance, the stop signal and trophallaxis — laid flat on a top-down comb so the mechanics read clearly instead of being viewed at an angle: a hex-textured comb panel holds a background colony of worker bees that wander, get pulled toward an active signal, or freeze near a vibration epicenter exactly as the 3D retinue does, while the selected signal drives its own animated actor — a diffusing pheromone cloud, a figure-eight waggle run with a live trail, a shaking trembler firing vibration rings, a lunging stop-signal pair, or two bees exchanging a trophallaxis droplet — with the same responding-bee-count and signal-reach formulas as the original.

⚙ Under the hood

2D top-down honeybee comb driving the same five communication-channel models as the 3D version — pheromones, waggle dance, tremble dance, stop signal and trophallaxis — with a reactive background colony and live responding-bee/signal-reach readouts.
