🧪 Agriculture Precision Agriculture Simulation
Interactive precision-agriculture simulator: a 3D soil-sensor grid drives a variable-rate fertilizer applicator using the economic-optimum nitrogen rate, with live yield, cost and nutrient-runoff readouts compared against uniform-rate spreading.
This simulation illustrates the concepts of precision agriculture, showcasing how data analysis and targeted interventions can optimize crop yields. A 3D field grid renders per-cell soil-test nitrogen readings, and a variable-rate technology (VRT) controller computes the economically optimal nitrogen rate for every cell from a quadratic yield-response curve, sweeping an applicator boom across the field that pulses its rate up in depleted zones and down in already-rich ones. Toggle to uniform-rate spreading to see the same field's cost, yield, and nitrogen-runoff risk under a single flat rate, with live numeric comparison of the two strategies.
This simulation illustrates the concepts of precision agriculture, showcasing how data analysis and targeted interventions can optimize crop yields. It demonstrates techniques like variable-rate fertilization and irrigation based on real-time field conditions.
