This simulation illustrates the concepts of precision agriculture, showcasing how data analysis and targeted interventions can optimize crop yields. A 3D field grid renders per-cell soil-test nitrogen readings, and a variable-rate technology (VRT) controller computes the economically optimal nitrogen rate for every cell from a quadratic yield-response curve, sweeping an applicator boom across the field that pulses its rate up in depleted zones and down in already-rich ones. Toggle to uniform-rate spreading to see the same field's cost, yield, and nitrogen-runoff risk under a single flat rate, with live numeric comparison of the two strategies.
