Reusable rockets get their savings from one maneuver: flying the descending booster back down under its own thrust and landing it intact instead of throwing it away. This simulator models the real physics of that landing burn — gravity, aerodynamic drag, and thrust from a variable number of engines whose propellant burns off according to the rocket equation, lightening the vehicle as the fuel runs low. Throttle up too late and momentum wins; throttle up too early and you run out of fuel hovering. Choose your engine count, watch the live altitude, velocity, fuel and G-force readouts, and try to land within a soft touchdown speed — the same thrust-to-weight balancing act that makes propulsive landing possible.
