VASIMR Plasma Rocket 2D: Thrust/Isp Trade-off Map

2D companion to the VASIMR plasma-rocket 3D engine: the same helicon-ionization, ion-cyclotron-heating and magnetic-nozzle energy-balance model, computed independently and rendered as a side-view particle cross-section plus a live thrust-vs-specific-impulse trade-off curve and power-budget bars.

This is the 2D companion to the VASIMR 3D magnetoplasma-rocket simulator. It solves the same helicon-ionization / ion-cyclotron-heating / magnetic-nozzle energy balance independently, rendering it as an axisymmetric side-view particle cross-section — the physically correct 2D projection of a device that is symmetric about its axis — alongside a live thrust-vs-specific-impulse trade-off curve and a power-budget breakdown. Adjust total RF power, the power split between the two RF stages, propellant mass flow and nozzle magnetic field to watch plasma stream through the helicon source, ICH booster and diverging magnetic nozzle while thrust, Isp, exhaust velocity and jet efficiency update live — and see exactly where that setting sits on the thrust/Isp trade-off curve.
