🧪 City Infrastructure City Traffic Simulation
Interactive 3D city-traffic simulator: instanced cars follow a car-following model on a grid of signalled intersections. Click a traffic light to retime it, tune vehicle density and watch queues, average flow speed and stop-and-go shockwaves form in real time.
A grid of signalled intersections carries a stream of vehicles, each governed by a car-following model that balances a desire to reach cruising speed against the need to keep a safe gap to whatever is ahead. Click any traffic light to select it and retime its green/red split, then watch how that change ripples through queue length and average flow speed across the network — including the stop-and-go shockwaves that propagate backward through dense traffic whenever one car brakes hard.
This simulation models a city's infrastructure and traffic flow, allowing users to experiment with different urban planning strategies and observe their impact on congestion. It demonstrates basic transportation dynamics.
