Biofoundry Validation Plate: Z′-Factor Assay QC Simulator
Interactive 96-well validation-plate simulator: tune noise, signal window and edge-evaporation drift, watch a live 3D plate of automated assay reads, and see the Z′-factor decide whether a biofoundry screening run is publication-grade or unusable.
Automated biofoundries live or die on whether their screening plates can be trusted, and the industry-standard test is the Z′-factor computed from a plate's own positive and negative control wells. This simulator renders a real 3D microplate — 96 or 384 wells — populated by a simulated automated liquid-handling run, lets you dial in well-to-well noise, the raw signal window between controls, and edge-well evaporation drift (a well-known real artifact in high-throughput screening), and recomputes the Z′-factor live from the resulting control statistics. Out-of-band wells are flagged automatically using the same 3σ gating rule real biofoundry QC pipelines use before releasing plate data, and a verdict box classifies the run as excellent, marginal, or unusable exactly as a lab would before trusting any hit on it.
An interactive 3D validation-plate simulator: tune well-to-well noise, control signal window and edge-evaporation drift, and watch the industry-standard Z′-factor decide whether an automated biofoundry screening run is trustworthy.
