Radiation protection and life support share the same mass budget on a real spacecraft: the water, food and waste stores a crew already carries can double as a storm shelter's shielding, saving the launch mass of a dedicated radiation vault. This simulator models a solar particle event as a time-varying proton flux hitting the station, lets you stack consumable mass into shelter walls and set how long the crew takes to reach it, then integrates the actual absorbed dose over the event using the same exponential attenuation law and rise-decay storm profile used in real mission dose planning — with a live verdict against the 250 mGy 30-day crew skin-dose limit.
