Interactive 2D phase-space simulator of a space station's cabin-pressure control loop: watch the (total pressure, O2 partial pressure) state trace live inside safe/hazard bands as a hull leak, crew load and controller gain drive the same effusion physics as the 3D version.
A space station cabin does not just need oxygen — it needs the right total pressure and the right O₂-to-N₂ ratio, because pure oxygen at sea-level pressure is a fire hazard (the Apollo 1 lesson) while low total pressure risks hypoxia. This 2D companion to the 3D particle-cloud simulator plots the cabin's state directly on a (total pressure, O₂ partial pressure) plane: safe and hazardous regions are drawn as bands, and the station's live state traces a path through them as a hull leak, crew metabolic load and an automatic dual-valve controller pull it around — the same ideal-gas, Dalton's-law and kinetic-theory effusion physics as the 3D version, read as a state-space trajectory instead of a particle cloud. A scrolling strip chart underneath plays the same two pressures out against time.
