Space observatories like JWST cannot use fans or coolant loops to fight the Sun — the only way to lose heat in vacuum is by radiating it away, and the only way to lose it slowly enough to matter is to interrupt that radiation with floating shields. This simulator renders a real 3D stack of sunshield layers between a sun-facing hot plate and a cold telescope module, and drives every layer's temperature from the closed-form steady-state radiation-network equations rather than a canned animation. Slide the shield count, the layer emissivity, or the distance from the Sun and watch the temperature gradient — and the live hot-plate, cold-shield and attenuation readouts — respond exactly as the physics dictates.
