Warp Drive 3D: Alcubierre Bubble Lattice

3D visualization of the Alcubierre warp-drive metric: a ship dragging a spacetime bubble through a lattice of coordinate points, compressing the grid ahead and stretching it behind while the bubble interior stays flat, with orbit camera and tunable speed, radius and wall sharpness.

This 3D companion to the warp-drive field view renders the same Alcubierre metric as a lattice of fixed coordinate points in space. A ship carrying its flat spacetime bubble flies through the lattice, and every point's on-screen position is displaced along the travel axis by the metric's volume-expansion scalar θ — compressing the lattice into tight red bands just ahead of the bubble wall and stretching it into sparse blue bands just behind, while points deep inside the wireframe sphere stay almost undisturbed, exactly as the flat-interior ship would experience it. Orbit the camera and tune bubble speed, radius and wall sharpness to see how a sharper, faster bubble concentrates the curvature into a thinner shell.
