How it works

Every point of this lattice is a fixed coordinate marker in the background spacetime. As the ship drags its Alcubierre bubble through them, each marker is nudged along the travel axis by the same volume-expansion scalar θ that appears in the metric — markers ahead get pulled toward the ship (space contracting), markers behind get pushed apart (space expanding), and markers deep inside the bubble barely move at all, showing the flat interior the ship actually occupies.
