Docking two spacecraft is only step one — the life-support umbilical that joins them then has to match on four independent layers (gas, water, power, data) before anything actually flows. This 2D panel view lets you dock a second module built to a matched, partially-modified, or fully legacy connector standard, and watches each line mate — or fail to — in a side-view docking animation plus a face-on inset of the real 2×2 port layout. When gas lines are compatible, a linear-conductance model equalizes the two modules' tank pressures — plotted live on the strip chart below — and a compatible power line ramps up a real transfer curve; a mismatched line simply stays dark, exactly as it would on a real spacecraft where a "close enough" connector still leaves the crew without air, water, power or comms across the seam.
