Hull Breach: Rapid Cabin Decompression (2D)

2D companion model of a spacecraft hull breach: an independent choked-flow gas-dynamics solver draws the cabin cross-section venting alongside a live pressure-decay curve and time-of-useful-consciousness readout as you adjust breach size, cabin volume, starting pressure and discharge coefficient.

A purely 2D companion to the 3D hull-breach simulator: instead of rendering a 3D cabin of escaping air particles, this model solves the same choked-flow gas-dynamics balance directly and draws it as two linked 2D views. The left panel is a top-down cabin cross-section where air particles thin out and stream toward the breach as the cabin vents. The right panel is a live pressure-vs-time graph — the exact exponential decay curve traced in real time, with a dashed threshold marking the moment Time of Useful Consciousness runs out. Tune breach diameter, cabin volume, starting pressure and discharge coefficient, then trigger the breach and watch pressure, mass flow rate and TUC update every frame exactly as the underlying physics predicts.
