Satellite Constellation Network — Top-Down Link Map (2D)

A top-down orthographic companion to the 3D constellation scene: tune orbital planes, satellites per plane and inter-satellite link range, and watch the mesh network of active links form and break live.

This 2D companion projects the same orbital-plane geometry as the 3D scene — inclination, RAAN and per-plane radius — onto a flat top-down view, then draws a live link between any two satellites within range, so the shape of the mesh network is easier to read than orbiting a 3D camera.

⚙ Under the hood

Orthographic top-down projection of inclined circular orbits; nearest-neighbor link lines redrawn every frame from a live distance check against the link-range slider.
