CubeSat P-POD Detumble: Passive Magnet vs Active B-dot (2D)

2D companion: eject a CubeSat from a P-POD and compare a passive bar-magnet detumble against an active B-dot magnetorquer, driven by the same rigid-body angular-velocity physics as the 3D version, rendered on a plain canvas wireframe.

This 2D companion runs the identical quaternion rigid-body integrator as the 3D version — an ejection tumble, then three parallel states (no detumble, passive bar magnet, active B-dot magnetorquer) — flattened onto a plain canvas wireframe instead of a WebGL scene, so the physics is easy to read at a glance.

⚙ Under the hood

Rigid-body angular-velocity integration with gyroscopic coupling; passive detumble uses fixed light damping, active detumble uses the B-dot control law m = −k·dB/dt.
