🔬 What It Demonstrates

Real asteroid deflection uses kinetic impactors (crashing a spacecraft into the asteroid) and gravitational tractors (hovering spacecraft slowly altering its orbit). Even a tiny velocity change years in advance shifts the orbit enough to miss Earth.

🎮 How to Use

Click or tap to aim at incoming asteroids. Larger asteroids need more hits to destroy. Some move faster than others — prioritise the biggest and fastest threats!

💡 Did You Know?

NASA's DART mission crashed a spacecraft into asteroid Dimorphos in September 2022 — and it worked! The impact changed Dimorphos's orbital period by 32 minutes, proving asteroid deflection is possible.
