Before you can say a classroom or a physics faculty spreads a UFO rumor unusually fast or slow, you need a baseline to compare it to. This simulator is that baseline: a plain Susceptible–Believer–Skeptic (SIR) epidemic model running on a generic Erdős–Rényi random network, where every pair of people is equally likely to be in contact and no demographic structure — no clustering, no hub-and-spoke hierarchy — shapes who talks to whom. Adjust the transmission rate, the recovery (skepticism) rate and the network's average connectivity and watch the classic S/I/R curves — susceptible falling, believers rising then decaying, skeptics accumulating — along with the basic reproduction number R0 = β/γ that governs whether the belief takes off or fizzles.
