📻 Radio Link Lab: Link Budget, Fresnel Zones, Knife-Edge Diffraction and Terrain Viewshed

Terrain radio planning: free-space loss, link budget, Fresnel zone clearance, knife-edge diffraction (Deygout), viewshed and RSSI coverage maps, relay siting and two-ray fading on a fictional mountain valley with Blender-built masts and vehicles.

⚙ Under the hood

Plan a radio link over a fictional mountain valley: free-space loss and link budget, Earth bulge and radio horizon, Fresnel-zone clearance, Lee and Deygout knife-edge diffraction checked against the exact Fresnel integral, foliage and rain, two-ray fading, a viewshed and RSSI coverage map, and a hilltop relay optimiser, with Blender-built lattice tower, relay station, handheld radio and rescue vehicle. Unlike the existing radio-wave-propagation, antenna-pattern, interstellar link-budget and 2D radio-path-profile labs, this one is a 3D terrain flagship with coverage maps and a relay optimiser: click two points for a profile, drag the masts, and see which village area is in a dead zone.
