Classroom Robot Proxemics Navigator

Interactive 3D simulation of a differential-drive classroom robot that visits students' desks one at a time, steering with an attractive/repulsive social-force field that keeps it out of every other student's personal-space bubble while it approaches the one it is helping.

An educational assistant robot moves through a 12-desk classroom, visiting one student at a time. Rather than driving in a straight line, it steers with a social-force potential field: an attractive term pulls it toward the desk it is currently serving, while a repulsive term pushes it away from every other seated student's personal-space bubble, based on Hall's proxemics zones. Adjust the personal-space radius, repulsion strength and top speed to see the robot's path bend around occupied desks, or call it directly to any desk and watch it re-route on the fly. Live telemetry tracks the closest bystander distance, remaining distance to the goal, and how many students it has helped this session.

⚙ Under the hood

Steer a differential-drive classroom robot as it visits students one at a time, following a social-force potential field that pulls it toward the desk it is helping while keeping it out of every other student's personal-space bubble.
