AUV Ballast & Thruster Control
Interactive 3D AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle) simulator: fill or empty ballast tanks to control buoyancy and depth without spending thruster energy, and vector six thrusters for full 6-DOF motion — surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch and yaw.
A 3D control simulator for an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), demonstrating the two real mechanisms that give underwater robots full 6-DOF freedom of motion. Slide the ballast control to flood or purge the vehicle's ballast tanks — watch the hull sink, rise, or hover at neutral buoyancy exactly like a submarine, without spending any thruster energy. Then use the direction pad to fire the six vectored thrusters for forward/reverse, lateral sway, and yaw rotation, with a live readout of every thruster's individual output. The buoyancy meter and depth gauge track the vehicle's real-time state as both systems combine to move it anywhere in the water column.
