Quantum Random Number Generator: Beam-Splitter Entropy Source (2D)

Interactive 2D beam-splitter QRNG: fire single photons one at a time or in bursts, watch each one reflect or transmit by genuine quantum superposition collapse, and read the resulting bitstream's bias, min-entropy and longest run live.

Every certified quantum random number generator (QRNG) reduces to the same building block: a single photon meets a 50/50 beam splitter and the universe genuinely has not decided which detector will click until it does. This 2D simulator lets you fire that process yourself — one photon at a time, in bursts of ten, or as a continuous stream — and watch each individual collapse route the photon to detector D0 or D1 by a real Born-rule coin flip, while a live statistics panel tracks the resulting bitstream exactly the way a security-standards lab would: empirical bias, min-entropy, longest-run length, and bit rate. A detector-bias control lets you introduce the kind of real-world asymmetry that any hardware entropy source has to be certified against, and a Von Neumann debiasing toggle shows the classical algorithm regulators require as a fallback correction, sacrificing throughput for provable unbiasedness.
