Magnet-Free Quantum Isolator: Phasor-Diagram View (2D)
Interactive 2D phasor-diagram model of a magnet-free quantum isolator: the direct coherent coupling and the dissipative coupling are drawn as two vectors on an Argand plane whose tip-to-tail sum is computed live for the forward and reverse directions, alongside a scrolling wave-superposition trace that shows the same destructive/constructive interference in the time domain.
Real superconducting-qubit chips increasingly avoid bulky ferrite circulators by engineering nonreciprocity directly from interference. This 2D simulator makes the underlying mathematics the whole picture: a live Argand diagram draws the direct coherent-coupling vector and the dissipative-coupling vector tip-to-tail and computes their vector sum for both the forward (qubit → amplifier) and reverse (amplifier → qubit) directions side by side, so the 180° flip in the dissipative vector's angle between the two diagrams — the actual source of the nonreciprocity — is visible rather than implied. A scrolling superposed-wave trace beneath the diagrams shows the same cancellation and reinforcement as ordinary sinusoid addition, with dashed guides marking the computed peak amplitude so the animation can be checked against the numbers live. A packet strip at the top still carries forward signal and reverse noise packets between the qubit and amplifier ports, with noise packets cancelled or leaking through to decohere the qubit exactly as the phasor diagram predicts.
A 2D phasor-diagram companion to the 3D magnet-free quantum isolator: the direct coherent coupling and the dissipative coupling are drawn as two vectors on a live Argand plane, tip-to-tail, and their vector sum is computed for the forward and reverse directions side by side — the 180-degree flip in the dissipative vector's angle between the two diagrams is the actual source of the nonreciprocity, made visible rather than implied. A scrolling wave-superposition trace beneath the diagrams shows the same cancellation and reinforcement as ordinary sinusoid addition, with dashed guides marking the computed peak amplitude in real time.
