Every "quantum computing will do X by year Y" headline rests on a curve fit to a handful of hardware-roadmap data points. This simulator fits IBM's own published superconducting-qubit counts (2016-2023) with two standard technology-forecasting models — unbounded exponential growth and a saturating logistic S-curve — using real ordinary-least-squares regression, then extrapolates the year a chosen qubit-count milestone is crossed. Solid bars are the real historical data; translucent bars and the glowing curve are the model's projection into the future. Switch models, drag the logistic ceiling, and watch how differently two curves that both fit the same eight points forecast the future.
