This simulator visualizes a floating offshore wind turbine operating over an animated ocean swell. The rotor's blade pitch and rotational speed respond to wind speed in real time, and the generated power follows the same cubic power law and cut-in / rated / cut-out logic used to size and protect real utility-scale turbines. Adjust wind speed, blade pitch and wave height to see how each reshapes the turbine's behaviour and where it sits on the power curve.
