Extra spatial dimensions beyond the familiar three show up in several theoretical frameworks, from the original 1920s Kaluza–Klein unification to modern large-extra-dimension (ADD) and warped (Randall–Sundrum) models. A common thread is compactification: an extra dimension curled into a tiny circle at every point of ordinary space, too small to notice directly — the classic analogy is a garden hose, a clear 2D tube up close but an apparent 1D line from a distance. This simulation renders that tube directly: shrink its radius or back the camera away and watch it visually collapse into a line, while a highlighted particle's quantized winding around the circle builds the Kaluza–Klein tower of increasingly massive modes shown in the side panel.
