Smash Car Physics Simulator (2D)
A wrecking-ball pendulum swings under real gravity, and impact speed, crumple force and structural damage are computed from energy conservation and a spring-crumple model of the car body.
This 2D companion trades the 3D scene for a plain side-view rig: a wrecking ball on a real pendulum arm falls under gravity, and its speed at the bottom of the swing follows directly from energy conservation. That kinetic energy is then absorbed by a spring-crumple model of the car body, so the peak force and damage readouts respond honestly to the ball's mass, the body material's stiffness, and which part of the car takes the hit.
Pendulum swing integrated frame-by-frame (theta'' = -(g/L)sin(theta)); impact speed from v = sqrt(2gh); crumple depth and peak force from a Hookean spring model (d = sqrt(2·KE/k), F = sqrt(2·KE·k)); damage scaled by material brittleness and target-zone structural weak points.
