GPS Triangulation Simulator (2D)
Interactive 2D GPS triangulation simulator: adjust the number of satellites and signal noise, watch distance circles intersect, and see the real trilateration math solve a receiver's estimated position.
This 2D simulator places a receiver at a hidden true position on a flat map and surrounds it with satellites, each broadcasting a timed signal whose round-trip delay converts to a distance circle. Raise the satellite count to add more intersecting circles, or add signal noise to see how atmospheric delay and clock drift blur each measured range — a live Gauss-Newton least-squares solver then triangulates an estimated position from the noisy circles in real time, and the readout shows exactly how far that estimate drifts from the truth.
Adjust satellite count and signal noise to watch a live least-squares solver triangulate a receiver's position from intersecting distance circles.
